SECOND PHASE: MOVE TO CHANGCHUN

In 1957, the First Machinery Industry Ministry decided to build up an automotive research institute and move to Changchun and named the Automotive Research Institute of Automotive Industry Administrative Bureau of First Machinery Industry Ministry which would be located on the current Changchun Chuangye Street. During this period, the Institute developed military model 6210 diesel engine and military jeep. Meanwhile the Institute developed 4 x 4, 6 x 6, 8 x 8 off-road vehicle series products, big and small V8 engine, 0.8-ton military off-road command vehicle, military model 6130 diesel engine, 20Y, 25Y, and 35Y vehicles etc.. In the fields of the scientific research, the Institute conducted the topics researches such as the subjects of dynamic, combustion, strength and abrasion.
