The Technology
Center has an advanced and new automotive product
pilot production base,implements the pilot production
function of new products in FAW Group Corporation
and makes the pilot production for various new products
in truck series, car series, bus series and etc.
The pilot production base has a total land area
of more than 20 000 square meters, including 3 shorps
of machinning,assembling for assemblies and sheet
metal working and a final assembling prodution line
for a whole vehicle, with 70-meter length and annual
output of 3000 various vehicles.It has a large Mobile-gantry
numerical control milling machine, vertical and
horzontal machiniing centers,laser rapid moulding
machine, flexible body manufacturing system, automatic
3D measuring machine,and hardware equipments of
more than 80 general machines, figure and profile
fitting workstation, computers,etc as well as CAD
and CAM sorftwares of CATIA, POWERSHAPE,Pro/E,POWERMILL,
CAMAX,etc,to meet the requirements of processing
design and numerical control machining for various
products.Transition from 2D design to 3D design
has been completed for dies design and tooling and
equiipment design to

a CAD/CAM digitalized manufacturing system of pilot
products.
We have formed a set of mature and high-tech developing
system in the field of various model and mould manufacturs.As
for body assembling development,we have mastered the
low melt point alloy technology,rapid die-making technology
to realize the process from a single part pilot production
to a small batch pilot production.
