Nongan Automotive Proving Ground is located in northwestern part of Changchun City, Jinlin Province, with 44° northern latitude and is the only one vehicle test base with a cold weather feature, advanced test facilities and complete test functions. It can be used for some performance tests of various types of new products such as complete vehicles and assemblies of FAW Group Corp., and also can be used for quality inspection & appraisal and some special item tests of the main products made by domestic automotive manufacturers and the imported prototype vehicles.The proving ground covers an area of 960,000 square meters. Main test facilities: A length of 4,000 meters high speed loop test track with a long and round shape feature, divided into three test lanes, 160km/hr of the design vehicle speed and 200km/hr of the max. vehicle speed; A total length of 8,436 meters reliabilities test road consisting of 18 different road surfaces; A total length of 2,437 meters comprehensive performance test road, 4 kinds of ABS test roads with different friction factors and total length of 1557 meters; 4 kinds of standard slope roads (with a gradient of 8%,12%, 20% and 29% separately) and the only one crosswind test facility in China.
